There is nothing quite like the Father and Son golf tournament at the Home of Golf with us. Laughter, shared memories, and stories that will be told for years to come, it’s a few days that cannot be replicated elsewhere, such is the prestige of St Andrews.
Our beloved, annual event returns for its 25th anniversary, where you can take on the pinnacle of Scotland’s links courses across 72 holes of pure thrill action, celebrating the everlasting bond between generations in honour of Old Tom Morris and his son Tommy, who shaped the sport in its early years.
Including the likes of the ever-challenging Carnoustie Championship Course and the jaw-dropping Kingsbarns Golf Links, the Father and Son golf event wraps up on the hallowed grounds of the Old Course - the very same stage for the 155th Open for the same year!
This is far more than a golf tournament. It’s quality time with your family and an appreciation of what truly golf means to those who love it.

An incomparable experience, the Father and Son golf event is designed to combine competition with connection and joy. It’s a four-day event designed to be as memorable off the course as it is on it. Here is the competition format:
Team Competition: 72 Holes Across Iconic Links
Individual Competition – A Round to Remember on the Old Course
Daily Nearest the Pin Contests
The 2026 prizes are yet to be announced, but you won’t be disappointed. The 2025 winners landed a trip to Augusta to watch the Masters. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Note: The top 3 teams in the overall standings will be excluded from the daily team prizes to keep things competitive for everyone – but they’ll still be in the mix for 'nearest the pin' honors each day.
Requirements to enter are as follows:
The dress code is generally relaxed during your stay. Of course, smart casual golf attire is expected on courses.
Men are required to wear a white dress shirt for the final night. A full Scottish outfit (including a traditional kilt) will be provided.
The 2026 U.S. Open produced four days of gripping golf at the iconic Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, with Wyndham Clark holding his nerve to secure a second U.S. Open title.
The third major championship of the year is almost here, with the world's best golfers preparing for one of the toughest tests in the game.
Every two years, golf's greatest players put aside individual ambition and become part of something bigger.
