Whether you’re teeing off on the rolling greens of Scotland or enjoying a sun-soaked Irish links adventure, packing smart ensures your golf getaway is as seamless as your swing. Here’s your ultimate packing checklist for a trip with us to the UK and Ireland.
1. Your Favourite Golf Clubs
Your clubs are your signature on the course. While we provide access to world-class courses, having your own irons, driver and putter ensures consistency and comfort in every swing. If you don’t own already, why not consider a travel bag? That way, you can have confidence that your clubs are well looked after due to its built-in protection, which will keep your clubs pristine during flights and other journeys.
2. Stylish Golf wear
Luxury meets functionality here. Pack breathable polo shirts, tailored shorts or trousers, layers and a lightweight waterproof jacket for unpredictable weather. In the UK, you can expect anything from heatwaves to downpours throughout the golf season, so we recommend coming prepared for anything! Don’t forget a cap or visor to keep the sun at bay too, or beanie for the crisper days on the green, as well as sunglasses. After all, style points count on and off the course!
3. Premium Golf Shoes
Comfort is key. High-quality golf shoes with spikeless or soft spikes let you navigate diverse course terrains without sacrificing ‘the look’. Bonus: more stylish shoes double as versatile footwear for evenings at your hotel or when out and about – so save on that luggage space if you can!
4. Accessories That Make a Difference
-
Golf gloves: essential for grip and control (and they look great on you!)
-
Rangefinder or GPS device: for accurate distance measurement on those unfamiliar courses.
-
Towels and club brushes: keeping your clubs clean shows attention to detail and that you really mean business.
5. Travel-Sized Essentials
Luxury travel meets practicality. Pack sunscreen, lip balm and a reusable water bottle to stay comfortable throughout long days on the course. A small first aid kit is smart, just in case, but clubhouses and halfway houses will most likely help you with this anyway!
6. Tech for the more Savvy Golfer
Capture memories in style. A quality camera or smartphone with extra memory ensures you don’t miss stunning course landscapes. The courses in the UK and Ireland are truly breathtaking, and you’ll want to capture this, as well as other unforgettable moments! And, of course, chargers and power banks to keep devices ready for everything, including getting that social post of yours ready.
7. Evening & Off Course Attire
Our tours are as much about the experience off the course as on it. Pack smart-casual outfits for dinners, local events and sightseeing. After all, luxury doesn’t stop at the 18th hole with us, it follows you through every part of your journey.
8. Travel Documents & Extras
Ensure you have passports, travel insurance and any local currency or cards needed. Check whether the country you’re visiting requires any further documents such as visas or electronic travel authorisations (ETAs) well in advance too.
Of course, please do also ensure you pack the usual must-haves for any trip, including toiletries, other clothes and travel essentials! But, try not to overpack… after all, you want some space left in your luggage to bring back all the souvenirs and golf course merch you’re going to be buying!
