The Father & Son Tournament has always been about far more than golf. While the world-class courses and competition are a huge part of the week, what truly makes the event special is the atmosphere around it - families travelling together, shared experiences on and off the course, and moments that stay with people long after the final round.
Because of that, every detail matters.
For 2026, we wanted to elevate the overall experience even further and work with a variety of partners that genuinely reflected the quality, style, and atmosphere we aim to create throughout the week. The goal was never to overcomplicate the event, but to thoughtfully enhance it in a way that still felt authentic to both the setting and the people attending.
Throughout the week, The Experience Golf team was outfitted in Peter Millar polos and layers, Ecco footwear, and HLINC outerwear - apparel chosen not simply for presentation, but because it performs in the unique conditions that Scottish links golf can deliver. From warm sunshine to cold coastal winds and sudden rain showers, the week demanded versatility, comfort, and reliability throughout.
Peter Millar’s balance of performance and understated style suited the atmosphere of the event perfectly, while Ecco’s footwear proved invaluable over long days walking some of the world’s great golf courses. HLINC outerwear also became an essential part of the week as the Scottish weather inevitably reminded everyone where they were, and always being prepared for the true links weather experience!
Beyond apparel, Bushnell and Ecco helped bring another layer of enjoyment to the tournament through a series of activations and on-course competitions for our guests. Closest-to-the-pin challenges added a fun and competitive edge throughout the week, giving guests the opportunity to compete for prizes and, perhaps more importantly, a few bragging rights along the way!
The fun and surprise did not stop there for our guests; Vessel, Stitch, Bando and Pinecoast also went above and beyond in kitting out our fabulous pairs, with the likes of premium yardage books and scorecards, shoe bags, and other accessories to complement their days on the courses.
What makes these partnerships valuable is that they feel like a natural extension of the experience itself. They enhance the week without ever overshadowing it, helping contribute to the premium yet relaxed atmosphere that has become such a defining part of the Father & Son Tournament. We’re looking forward to building these relationships with our partners further and seeing what other doors open for us in the seasons ahead.
