The Experience Golf Team

With the countdown to our beloved Father and Son Tournament now in full swing, we think it’s a great opportunity to take a closer look at what we love most about the tournament. And, although we might sound a little biased, here’s why we think it’s such a special event.

1. A Unique Opportunity to Compete Alongside Your Father or Son

Our Father and Son Tournament is a PNC Championship-type event, meaning you get to battle it out like the pros do, alongside your loved one, on some of the world’s most iconic golf courses. It’s a competition, but also five days full of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and socialising.

The tournament also provides a unique opportunity for bonding and creating memories both on and off the golf course - memories that will last a lifetime.

2. You Get to Play on World-Class Courses

Not only do you get to play in the birthplace of golf (St Andrews), on the world’s first-ever golf course (The Old Course), but you also get to play on four of Scotland’s most exceptional links courses. Our Father and Son Tournament includes rounds on the New Course, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie Championship Course, and The Old Course.

3. Creating Tradition

For us here at The Experience Golf, our annual Father and Son Tournament has become a tradition. Now in its 22nd year, it’s safe to say it’s here to stay.

For our guests, it’s a fantastic way to establish a family tradition of competing year after year. We see many duos take part in multiple editions, and even those who started off as the sons are now competing as fathers with their own children. And we hope one day to see those sons come back when their kids are of age!

4. It Takes Place Over The Masters Weekend

We’ve all been there - watching one of the world’s most exciting sporting events and immediately wanting to either get into the sport or play it. Well, this is your chance! Kick back, relax, and watch The Masters, then wake up ready to play one of the world’s most iconic links golf courses. Pretty epic, right?

5. The Chance to Create Unforgettable Memories

What truly sets our Father and Son Tournament apart is the opportunity to create magical, cherished memories with your loved ones in a unique and truly unforgettable setting. Share the laughs, the highs, the pride of playing with your father or son, and enjoy the success or simply the joys of the competition.
