Featured Hole – 16th
The 16th hole on the New Course is often considered one of the finest holes on the course. Its features offer a 429-yard that can be lengthened on Championship days to 490 yards. Other features on the New Course include a drive over a shallow valley of gorse and bracken, a fairway that doglegs slightly to the left and a second shot over a cross bunker to a green with a distinctive mid-tier.
Known For: Its heathland setting, challenging layout, and fast greens
The new course really starts to show its mettle from the third. The heather comes into play and the holes progressively become more challenging!
